Heliodor is a member of one of the most illustrious mineral families and is the yellow version of stones such as emeralds, morganite and aquamarine which are all beryls as well. Heliodor is from the Greek words for sun, “helios”, and gift, “doron”, thus Heliodor can be translated as “gift of the sun”.
